BROOKLYN (WABC) -- Funeral arrangements have been announced for Patrick Brady, an 11-year veteran of the FDNY, who died while responding to an all-hands fire in Brooklyn on Saturday night.
Brady's wake will be at Marine Park Funeral Home in Brooklyn on Friday, November 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be held at the Church of St. Francis de Sales in Belle Harbor, New York on Saturday, November 15, at 11 a.m.
The funeral will also be streamed on the FDNY website.
Brady, 42, was operating on the roof of a fire at 9407 Kings Highway in Brooklyn when he suffered a medical episode and went into cardiac arrest, officials said.
Fellow FDNY Firefighters and FDNY EMS immediately treated him. He was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he died.
On Sunday morning, fellow firefighters and first responders arrived at Brady's firehouse in Brownsville for a bunting ceremony to honor his life and legacy. Brady was given a dignified transfer earlier Sunday morning.
Brady's ties to New York's Bravest run deep. His two brothers, Jimmy and Brian, are FDNY Firefighters. His cousins and uncles are also FDNY Firefighters.
Brady lived in Far Rockaway, Queens. He is survived by his wife, Cara.
