
GREENPOINT, Brooklyn (WABC) -- At least six firefighters were injured after a fire erupted at a waste management station in Brooklyn on Thursday.
NewsCopter 7 was over the massive three-alarm fire that broke out at Scott Avenue and Thomas Street in Greenpoint just before 4 p.m.
Black smoke could be seen billowing from the three-story commercial building located right next to the Kosciuszko Bridge.

Officials advised people in the area to avoid the smoke and close their windows.
FDNY officials say 63 units and 192 fire and EMS personnel responded to the fire.
At least six firefighters suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
