PATH trains in and out of Hoboken suspended while crews investigate power issue

HOBOKEN (WABC) -- PATH train service in and out of Hoboken is expected to resume Thursday morning following a power issue on Wednesday night.

The issue suspended service between Hoboken and 33rd Street, and Hoboken and the World Trade Center during the evening commute and was expected to last into the overnight hours.

Port Authority officials provided an update late Wednesday, saying repairs are underway to the third rail at the Hoboken station and "we anticipate service to 33rd Street and the WTC will resume in several hours."

PATH urged customers to take alternative service to connect with trains.

NJ Transit rail and bus are cross-honoring PATH at HOB, NWPT, EXPL, NWK, NYPS, Hoboken Light Rail, HOB Bus #126. New York Waterway is also cross-honoring ferries from Hoboken, and Brookfield Place until 9 p.m.
