Truck crashes into huge downed tree in Newark, trapping driver inside

NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- A truck crashed into huge downed tree in Newark, trapping the driver inside.

It happened at 4:16 a.m. on Maple Avenue near Keer Avenue.

The three-foot diameter tree then fell on utility wires and two parked vehicles.

The truck's driver was rescued from the vehicle by firefighters.

No one was injured.

Newark Neighborhood Services will remove the tree.
