The public was not able to see Pope Francis after he finished his remarks on the South Lawn and headed inside the White House, but now a collection of photos gives a sense of the pontiff's tour.

Pope Francis went inside with President Obama, reappearing a few minutes later on the Truman balcony flanked by both the President and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Though he's been treated unlike any other international leader, he did sign the guestbook himself.

And since he met the president's daughters Malia and Sasha upon his arrival yesterday, Pope Francis was sure to meet the rest of the family, petting Sunny and Bo Obama while inside.

The formal part of the tour included a stop in the Oval Office with President Obama.
