Juvenile struck and killed by landscaping truck while riding bike in NJ, police say
SCOTCH PLAINS, New Jersey (WABC) -- A juvenile was struck and killed by a landscaping truck on Wednesday afternoon in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, police said.
Police are investigating after a deadly crash involving a landscaping truck and an e-bike around 2:15 p.m. on Mountain Avenue and Mountain View Avenue.
When police arrived, they found a juvenile male with critical injuries.
He was taken to University Hospital in Newark by EMS and later died, police said.
Newscopter7 was over the scene where a bike was seen lying in the middle of Mountain View Avenue next to a backpack.
The driver of the landscaping truck was located a short distance from the scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said.
