RIDGEFIELD PARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- Fire crews are working to subdue the flames as at least two homes caught fire early Tuesday morning in Ridgefield Park.
The four-alarm fire started at 193 Brinkerhoff Street around 2:45 a.m.
Firefighters went upstairs inside one of the homes to battle the blaze and look for possible trapped residents.
One resident said he doesn't know how the fire started but believed it started at a neighbor's house and then spread, describing the scary moments he realized his home was on fire:
"When I got out of my bed, I watched it from the window. I saw the porch on the back completely on fire ... Now my house, they're breaking all the windows. You see a lot of smoke coming into my house, especially my daughter's room," he said.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
The exact cause of this fire is still under investigation.
