
STRATFORD, Connecticut (WABC) -- Police are investigating a fiery, chain-reaction crash on the Merritt Parkway on Sunday morning, that left three people dead.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2012 Chrysler 200, and a 2008 Honda Civic were travelling in the right lane on Route 15 South near Exit 36 in Stratford, when a third vehicle, a 2014 Lexus ES350, crashed into the back of the Honda, causing the Honda to crash into the back of the Chrysler.
Officials say the crash sparked afire.
The driver of the Honda was killed, along with two passengers.
Police say they are searching for the driver of the Lexus, who fled the scene.
No arrests have been made so far.
