NYPD looking for subway assault, robbery suspect in Kingsbridge Heights

KINGSBRIDGE, The Bronx (WABC) -- The NYPD released video of a suspect they say attacked and robbed a high school student on a subway platform.

The incident happened at the Kingsbridge Road subway station October 12 .

Police say the man in the video approached the 17-year-old victim as he waited on the southbound B and D platform and began shouting, then punched the victim in the face several times.

He then removed the victim's lanyard containing his student ID and OMNY card.

The suspect fled on foot, exiting the train station, and his whereabouts are unknown at this time.

The victim suffered injuries to his eyes, nose and head but is expected to be okay.

The sought individual was last seen wearing a red tank top, purple compression arm sleeves, black pants and carrying a black fanny pack.
