NYPD searching for man wanted for 12 locker thefts at same Planet Fitness gym in Brooklyn

BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man wanted for breaking into lockers 12 times at the same Planet Fitness in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

The suspect is wanted in connection to break-ins that took place between December 2025 and last Tuesday, April 14.

All of the crimes took place at the gym located at 777 Broadway. They happened inside both the men's and women's locker rooms.

According to police, the suspect is accused of stealing wallets, jackets, and $2,270 in cash.

A spokesperson with Planet Fitness released a statement encouraging members to lock up their belongings:

"The safety and security of our members and guests is our top priority. We always encourage our members to put their belongings in a secure locker and to report anything to the front desk. The Planet Fitness franchisee group is working closely with local authorities in their investigation and for additional information, we kindly direct you to the appropriate authorities."

It's not clear how the suspect got into the gym or if he is a member.
