Police: Person in custody after 15-year-old sexually assaulted in Central Park

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police took a person of interest into custody after somebody sexually assaulted a girl in Central Park.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday along East Drive near the Davis Center.

It is not clear if the victim knew her attacker.

The teen was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
