CENTEREACH, Suffolk County (WABC) -- There's a search for a real-life Grinch who keeps stealing holiday decorations in Centereach, Suffolk County.
Thieves have been caught on video twice walking off with items from their home.
An inflatable snowman and an inflatable teddy bear have been stolen within the same week.
Rey Algodon says it was captured on his surveillance video.
The suspect can be seen walking off with the fully inflated snowman that was in their front yard and again a few days later, making off with a deflated teddy bear.
Algodon says the suspect even brought a knife to cut the fishing line since their decorations were tightly staked into the ground.
"It's just sad because my daughters love it. The decorations, especially the big teddy bear, the snowman, that's what makes it sad," Algodon said.
He said he has increased cameras since the first incident, putting one on a tree and also added motion sensor lights to ward off the thief.
Some in this community said they had inflatables stolen on Halloween, too.
Suffolk County police have been investigating.
The Algodons are hoping to have their decorations back that have been a family tradition for the last 6 years.
