NYPD releases new images of trio linked to 26 scooter robberies in NYC
NEW YORK CITY (WABC) -- Police have released new images of three suspects wanted in connection with a string of chain-snatching robberies that targeted victims across the Bronx and Manhattan over a two-month period.
According to the NYPD, the trio is linked to 26 robberies reported between June 29 and Aug. 28.
Investigators say the suspects rode up to victims on a motorized scooter before snatching jewelry, primarily chains, and fleeing the scene. No injuries have been reported in any of the incidents.
Police on Wednesday released surveillance photos of the three individuals, including images captured during robberies in the 50th and 52nd precincts in the Bronx.
The NYPD is asking anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information about the robbery pattern to contact Crime Stoppers. All tips will remain confidential.
