President of Israel visits Mayor de Blasio in New York City

MIDTOWN (WABC) -- The recently elected president of Israel spent his Wednesday evening in New York City.

Reuven Rivlin took office back in July.

He met with Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner Bill Bratton at a hotel in Midtown.

The mayor congratulated Rivlin on becoming president, while Rivlin says de Blasio is "Almost the mayor of everyone in Israel."
