SELDEN, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police arrested a man in connection with a Long Island bank robbery Monday afternoon after tracking him with GPS.
On Monday morning around 10, a man entered the Bank of America on Middle Country Road in Selden, approached a teller and showed what appeared to be a handgun. He demanded cash and after the teller complied, he fled on foot.
While investigating, Suffolk County Police officers said they tracked a GPS device from the bank to Elmwood Road in Selden. They found Kyle Konecny at his home where they interviewed him and arrested him.
Konecny, 25, is charged with robbery in the second degree. He is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday.
