BEDFORD-STUYVESANT (WABC) -- Gunshots rang out overnight at a college graduation party in Brooklyn, leaving a young man dead and two teenagers injured.

Just after midnight, police responded to a 911 call of three people shot in front of 525 Quincy Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Officers found 21-year old Cornell Clarke shot in the torso. Clarke, a Brooklyn native, was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

Two teenage girls are in stable condition, a 17-year old who was shot in the hip and a 19-year old shot in the buttocks and thigh.

Police are investigating whether Clarke, who has an arrest record, was the intended target of the shooting and say that the two girls may have been caught in the crossfire.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is continuing.

"I honestly don't know what happened, all I know is that my brother was shot. Now he's gone and my family has lost someone who was so respectful, kind, generous, someone who meant so much to us," said the victim's sister, Corneisha Clarke.

She says they had spoken on the phone just a few hours before the shooting, and that he had been looking for a job.
