JAMAICA, Queens (WABC) -- Police are investigating after two people were fatally shot early Monday following a party in Queens.
At about 3:40 a.m., the NYPD responded to a report of a female shot in front of 107-07 170 Street in Jamaica.
A 27-year-old woman had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police also determined that a 28-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his back and a 32-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his right arm.
Both men were transported via EMS to Jamaica Hospital, where the 28-year-old was later pronounced dead.
The 32-year-old is currently listed in stable condition.
The house was the scene of a Fourth of July party Sunday. Police had responded earlier in the evening for a report of an assault.
21-year-old Joseph Ocasio of Brooklyn was charged with reckless endangerment and assault. Ocasio punched a woman at the party while she held her one-year-old child, authorities said.
Detectives are now looking into whether the shooting was retaliation for that assault.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
