A state trooper performed CPR on a woman who stopped breathing.

NORTH WILDWOOD, New Jersey (WABC) -- A New Jersey state trooper is being credited with saving the life of a woman who stopped breathing while riding in a car.

Trooper Didier Paul stopped to help the woman along the Garden State Parkway on Thursday after spotting a driver pull onto the shoulder.

Troopre Paul performed CPR on the passenger, a resident of North Wildwood.

After several chest compressions, the woman regained consciousness and started to breathe on her own.

She is now in stable condition.
