SHIRLEY, Long Island (WABC) -- Suffolk County Police are investigating a hate crime at a mosque on Long Island.

Graffiti with hateful comments about Islam were found on a banner at a construction site for the Islamic Center of Mastic-Shirley.

Someone called police to report it on Saturday afternoon.

No arrests have been made.

The Suffolk County Police Hate Crimes Unit is investigating.
