Father of young girl hit by ball at Yankee stadium says she's stable
The family of the young girl has been in and out of the hospital for the past two days.

BRONX, New York (WABC) -- The father of the young girl who was hit by a line drive foul ball at Yankee Stadium earlier this week delivered a quick and positive message Friday.

"She's stable," he said. "It's going to be a long process."

The family of that 2-year-old girl has been in and out of the hospital for the past two days.

She is apparently not well enough to leave yet.

Meanwhile, Major League Baseball is still reacting to the incident.

The Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners said they will extend the safety netting behind home plate beginning next season.
