AccuWeather forecast for NYC, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The weather pattern shifts again heading into Monday, bringing a "range day" across the region. A backdoor front will cool coastal areas dramatically, with a wide temperature range from the 60s at the beaches to the mid-90s well inland.
Summerlike heat returns for Tuesday and Wednesday, although highs will likely fall just short of daily records.
Highs will soar into the low 90s both days. While Tuesday's storm threat looks limited to areas north and west of the city, Wednesday brings a broader risk of thunderstorms, some of which could become strong to severe. These storms will help break the heat as we head into the latter part of the week.
