NEW YORK (WABC) -- After severe storms move offshore Tuesday night, we'll get intervals of clouds and sun on Wednesday, with a gusty thunderstorm or two, mainly in the afternoon.

The National Weather Service has put New York City and much of the Tri-State area at a marginal risk (1 out of 5) for for severe thunderstorms with the primary threat being damaging winds.

Once we get past Wednesday, Thursday will kick off a stretch of several days with plenty of sunshine, including the weekend.
