NEW YORK (WABC) -- Bundle up for a bitter cold and blustery Wednesday, as an arctic air mass moves through the area.

Meteorologist Bill Evans says the high for today will be 31, but the wind chill factor will make it feel more like 10-15 degrees throughout the Tri-State area.

Wind gusts out of the west could reach 45 miles an hour. A wind advisory is in effect until 1 p.m.

The winds will die down tonight, and the low temperatures will drop to 23 in New York City, 13 in the suburbs.

But after this frigid blast, temperatures will slowly warm up for the rest of the week.
