BRONX (WABC) -- A subcontractor's truck went up in flames on the Bronx Whitestone Bridge Monday morning.
The truck was parked in a closed construction zone on the south side of the bridge when it caught fire just before 9:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
The bridge was closed in both directions for an hour.
The subcontractor was working on a $109 million project to widen the Queens approach lanes to the bridge.
The project is expected to be completed in early 2015.
