Woman found dead in bathtub in apartment on Lower East Side

LOWER EAST SIDE (WABC) -- Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a bathtub, and are calling it a homicide.

Officers responded to a 911 call of an unconscious female at around 6 p.m. Saturday, at 115 Eldridge Street on the Lower East Side.

They found 57-year old Meilin Liu in the tub. EMS responded and pronounced her dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
