Students accused of sex assault at school

Incident allegedly took place in school bathroom
NEW YORK Kingston police say a 15-year-old female student was sexually assaulted Friday on school grounds. Police arrested the teenagers Saturday.

Police say 17-year-old Christian Moore-Giles was charged with felony rape, committing a felony sexual act and unlawful imprisonment. Brothers Sharkey Daniel, 19, and Quami Daniel, 17, were charged with committing felony sexual acts.

Police say they expect to make more arrests, but didn't provide further details.

The school district released the following statement:

We have been working very closely with the Kingston Police Department to investigate the allegations that have been made. The investigation at the high school continues.

The young men identified and charged will be disciplined to the fullest extent of the district code of conduct at the highest level of offense with the superintendent's meeting scheduled to determine the final outcome.

The safety of the students is always our highest priority. The superintendent has scheduled a meeting with the Kingston police and the high school administration to determine what improvements can be made in security at KHS throughout the entire day and the early morning, straight through night school classes and activities to insure the safety of all students.
