Early morning truck fire on NJ Turnpike

Toll collectors temporarily placed in a tunnel
NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE, ELIZABETH Police say the truck, carrying either propane or oxygen tanks, caught fire about 300 feet from the Interchange 13A toll plaza just after 8:30 a.m.

Firefighters and hazardous materials crews quickly rushed to fight the flames.

Officials say no injuries were reported.

Toll collectors were temporarily placed in a tunnel underneath the toll plaza at Interchange 13A for their safety.
