Teen struck by minivan in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN Authorities say the boy was said to be dressed in a mask and costume when he was hit outside 1450 East 35th Street, at Kings Highway, at around 12:40 p.m.

He was reportedly struck by the car as the driver backed the Chrysler Town & Country minivan into a parking spot.

The boy was rushed to Kings County Hospital in serious but stable condition, according to officials.

The driver of the minivan was questioned, but no charges were immediately filed.

Some observant Jews dress up in masks and costumes and take to the streets to mark the Purim holiday.
