A track fire in Chelsea briefly stopped PATH train service between New Jersey and 33rd Street in Midtown. Eyewitness News is told the fire, apparently debris on the tracks, broke out at the 14th Street station just before 7 a.m.

Service between 33rd Street and Hoboken and 33rd Street and Journal Square was suspended in both directions. PATH service was suspended for about 30 minutes.

Officials say subway service was not affected.
