Schumer to introduce BPA bill

NEW YORK Bisphenol, also known as BPA, is used to harden the plastic used to make baby bottles. Over time, it is possible that the chemical could leak out of the plastic and could possibly contaminate the baby's drinks.

Earlier this week, a U.S. government report showed a link between BPA and cancer in rats. Now Wal-mart, the world's largest retailer, is phasing out bottles with BPA.

In Canada, where BPA's have been labeled as dangerous, bottles are being pulled from shelves already.

On Monday, New York Senator Charles Schumer plans to introduce a bill banning BPA in the U.S.
