Construction worker hurt in fall

NEW YORK Authorities say a construction worker fell about 40 feet from scaffolding to the street below.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at 65th Street and Columbus Avenue in the Lincoln Center Plaza.

Authorities say the worker was seriously hurt after falling between four and six stories. He was transported to an area hospital.

A second person, found unconscious for unknown reasons, refused medical attention and left the scene.

The Department of Buildings is on the scene and has started an investigation. There were no traffic closures in regards to the incident.
