Long Island karate instructor arrested

RONKONKOMA (AP) - Police say forensic analysis revealed an "extensive and graphic collection" on two computers seized from the martial arts center in Ronkonkoma where the 25-year-old male suspect worked.

Police say the man is charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He surrendered Thursday to Suffolk County police officers at the martial arts center, where he lived in a basement apartment.

Suffolk Computer Crimes Unit Detective Sgt. John Cowie tells Newsday in Friday editions that there is "no indication of anything with any kids at the school."
