Woman gunned down in Newark

NEWARK The shooting happened just before 5 p.m. The victim was shot multiple times in the head and torso on Littleton Avenue. Investigators say the suspects may have fled the scene in a blue Chrysler.

She was pronounced dead at UMDNJ. Police have neither identified a suspect(s) nor a motive.

Anyone with information about this incident or any other crimes in Newark is urged to call the Department's "Crime Stoppers" anonymous tip line at 877-NWK-TIPS.
