Another man, a 31-year-old resident of the apartment building, was also shot in the head, according to authorities. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's body was brought out of the lobby in a body bag hours later. The gunman fled the scene, and no arrests were immediately made.
Authorities could not immediately provide a motive for the crime.
