Police arrest suspect in 2002 Stamford murder

STAMFORD, Conn. Authorities brought Sheila Davalloo to Stamford on Monday. She is scheduled to be arraigned in superior court on Tuesday.

Police obtained the warrant for Davalloo's arrest last year.

"We had had her as a person of interest in this crime for quite some time," Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin told the Stamford Advocate.

She is accused of killing 32-year-old Anna-Lisa Raymundo, who was found beaten and stabbed nearly 20 times in her waterfront condominium in November 2002.

Police say Davalloo killed Raymundo so she could have Raymundo's boyfriend, Nelson Sessler, for herself. The three worked together at Stamford-based pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma.

"The stabbing culminated from that love triangle," Conklin said. "She meant to eliminate the love interest in that triangle."

Davalloo is currently serving a 25-year sentence in New York for trying to kill her husband, Paul Christos, with a paring knife.

That crime occurred four months after Raymundo's death.

Davalloo, of Pleasantville, N.Y., was convicted of attempted murder, first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
