Bandits target high-end guitars

ROSELLE PARK, N.J. The guitars are valued at hundreds and thousands of dollars.

Roselle Police Chief Paul Morrison says the most recent burglary was a violent home invasion at an apartment complex.

Police say the thieves knew exactly what they wanted and got away with $7000 worth of guitars. In all they've hit six times in Roselle Park, Summit, and Montclair ripping off 11 guitars including a 1961 Martin and one Ibanez basses.

The guitars are stamped with a serial number and now detectives are trying to determine whether they're being resold.

Chief Morrison says detectives are still trying to link the thieves to their victims and determine if the same masked men are responsible for all six burglaries.
