Police search for alleged UES mugger

NEW YORK They are hoping to make an arrest before he gets to a fourth victim.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect (seen above).

The victims seem to range in age, but the alleged mugger seems to be attacking only women in the 90's on the Upper East Side.

The suspect is described as 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds.

In all three attacks, the victims were hit in the back of the head with some sort of object.

The first mugging took place two weeks ago in Central Park at East Drive and 91st Street. A 46-year-old woman was walking her dog when she was attacked and robbed of her jewelry.

The second robbery was last Monday at First Avenue and 90th Street. That victim was a 25-year-old woman.

The third robbery was just a few minutes later on York Avenue. In that robbery, the 45-year-old victim had her purse snatched.

Despite the crimes, neighbors are saying they shouldn't lose sight of the low crime rate.

Anyone with information on these muggings is asked to call police.
