Woman accused of robbery while with child

Massapequa, NY The incident took place at the Wal-Mart at Sunrise Mall in Massapequa. Detectives say the suspect Jamie Donnelly was shopping with her child when a store security guard attempted to stop her for concealing several items, including cosmetics and clothing, in her handbag and exiting the store without making payment. Donnelly then allegedly struck the security guard with her key chain causing a laceration above his right eye. Officers responded and after arresting Donnelly, found that she had several pills believed to be Oxycodone in her possession. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released. The three-year-old was released into the custody of his grandmother. Donnelly was charged with 2nd degree robbery, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
