New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is a superhero on the cover of a special Spider-Man comic book that tells the tale of Peter Parker's attempts to get a job.

Bloomberg is the star of "The Amazing Spider-Man: YOU'RE HIRED!" -- a full-color, eight-page Marvel comic book to be unveiled Wednesday.

The story features an out-of-work Peter Parker, Spider-Man's alter ego, who is jobless and frustrated.

But Parker's luck changes after a chance meeting with Bloomberg, who tells him about the free job training and placement services available through the city's Workforce1 Career Centers.

Bloomberg, Marvel Comics CEO Joe Quesada and even Spider-Man will unveil the comic book at a noon news conference.
