2 men who died fleeing police on LI identified

Two men who died after they wrecked their car while trying to flee police on Long Island have been identified.

The accident happened Saturday morning in West Babylon.

Suffolk County police say an officer tried to pull over the driver of a Toyota Camry who committed a traffic violation.

The driver refused to pull over but kept going until he lost control and struck a shed, a tree and a parked car.

The driver was identifed as 36-year-old Rocco Coscia of Massapequa. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

His passenger, 42-year-old Michael Griffin of Wyandanch, was pronounced dead at the scene.
