6 violent shootings in Brooklyn; leaders outraged

BROOKLYN

They spoke in outrage saying, "Enough is enough!"

The 16-year-old girl was shot in the face and was taken to Brookdale Hospital where she is critical but stable condition.

Police are also investigating an unrelated shooting outside what is believed to be the Tompkins Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Police say a 23-year-old man was shot there.

4 other teens were shot outside a Catholic High School in Fort Greene after a basketball game this weekend. All of the victims have been taken to area hospitals. So far, there have been no arrests in any of the shootings.

Community Advocate Tony Herbert and his Urban Community Council have begun their outreach to some of the families to offer assistance.

Herbert along with Bishop Gerald Seabrooks of the Brooklyn Clergy/NYPD Task Force and other leaders are calling for the community's help with any information and ask they contact him or police. All calls will remain confidential.
