A non-profit watchdog group is raising new concerns about crime in Central Park.

NYC Park Advocates released a report Monday that says crime in the park jumped more than 44 percent last year.

The group says the study is based on NYPD statistics and that theft is the most-committed crime.

The police department says while the increase is a concern, Central Park remains the city's safest precinct.
