School employees fired in shrink wrap incident

YORKTOWN, N.Y.

Assistant Superintendent of the Yorktown school district Tom Cole tells the Journal News that two maintenance mechanics and a cleaner-groundskeeper were terminated by the school board on March 7. He says their supervisor was suspended without pay.

Yorktown police say they received a report on March 2 from the parents of a district employee that he was tied up and photographed by co-workers in the maintenance shop for several minutes during school hours. Police say at least one photo was posted on Facebook.

The journal reports that the fired workers said the co-worker was in on the joke.
