Mother, daughter found stabbed to death in Brooklyn

SHEEPSHEAD BAY

Authorities went to the Sheepshead Bay apartment of 56-year-old Tatyana Prikhodko to look for her daughter, 28-year-old Larisa Prikhodko, who had been reported missing. That's when they made the horrifying discovery.

The victims were both stabbed multiple times inside the sixth floor apartment on East 13th Street.

Their bodies were found at around 11:15 p.m., though it is unclear when the women were murdered.

Larisa was stabbed multiple times in the stomach, while Tatyana was stabbed multiple times to the torso and face. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests were immediately made. Police say that they would like to talk to Tatyana Prikhodko's boyfriend, who has not been named a suspect.

Neighbors say the pair lived in the apartment with Larisa's young son. On Sunday night, police say a family member called to report Larisa missing.

The double murder shocked residents of the apartment building. The building superintendent knocked on doors at around midnight, telling residents to stay in their apartments.

"I just know they were really nice people, and she had little boy," neighbor Ashta Sheong said. "And the little boy lost his mom and grandma at the same time before Easter. It's really sad."
