The latest numbers from the NYPD show its Stop and Frisk activity is on the rise.

In the first three months of this year, police on the street stopped, questioned and sometimes searched more than 183,000 people.

The stops resulted in almost 12,000 arrests and an additional 10,000 criminal summonses.

Just 15 percent of the stops were based on any sort of description of a suspect.

The other 85 percent were reportedly at the officer's discretion.
