The pouring rain couldn't keep hundreds of Dominican Americans from displaying their pride at Sunday's 30th Annual Dominican American National Parade.

The colorful and very musical event started in Midtown and headed up Sixth Avenue to West 52nd Street.

Mayor Bloomberg braved the rain and proudly waved a red, white and blue flag.

The event commemorates the war for Dominican independence from Haiti.
