Bloomberg expected to sign bike lane legislation

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is expected to sign legislation that could mean fewer new bike lanes in the city.

The City Council legislation would require the Department of Transportation to notify community boards 90 days before installing a new bike lane.

Also, the DOT must consider each board's input.

Drivers say the lanes limit parking, and businesses say that means fewer customers popping into their stores.
