The fire burned through a third-floor apartment in the 42-story Trump Place Apartments just after 5 a.m.
A 39-year-old woman was seriously injured and rushed to the burn unit at Cornell Medical Center.
She was treated for burns and smoke inhalation.
Nine other residents sustained minor injuries, mostly smoke inhalation.
One firefighter was also treated after being injured while evacuating residents.
The fire was contained to the woman's third-floor apartment and quickly brought under control.
The cause is under investigation.
