Car crashes into home in the Bronx

BRONX

It happened around 8:30 a.m.

The homeowner has cameras on his house and captured the entire accident on video.

The car is seen coming down the Cross Bronx Expressway Service Road, going around one car and then into the intersection, where another vehicle strikes the car.

The driver, who has not been charged, lost control, hit a parked minivan, a bush, a fence and then finally crashed into the garage. The 50-year-old driver was rescued after becoming pinned in the vehicle.

He was transported to Jacobi hospital with serious injuries, but officials said he was expected to survive.

Residents say the traffic is bad in the area. They say some people drive recklessly.

It's the second time that someone has plowed into the homeowner's garage in the last two years.
