Court system spokesman David Bookstaver says a decision is expected by Friday in the housekeeper's Bronx civil case.
She says Strauss-Kahn tried to rape her in his Manhattan hotel suite last May. The former International Monetary Fund leader has denied doing anything violent in their encounter.
Prosecutors dropped related criminal charges last summer.
Strauss-Kahn's lawyers argue he has diplomatic immunity from the lawsuit because of his IMF post. He resigned shortly after his arrest.
The maid's lawyers say the immunity claim doesn't hold water. They note that the IMF said he didn't have immunity while on the personal trip.
